The David Bowie A3 Open Edition Collection

Open edition fine art photography prints from David Bowie — The Session, photographed by Gavin Evans in London, July 1995 for Time Out magazine. Each A3 print presents a direct portrait of Bowie from one of the most significant sittings of his career. The session was made with Brian Eno present and produced the shushing image that appeared on the covers of Rolling Stone, Paris Match, and Esquire, was selected by Bowie himself for the cover and final page of the V&A exhibition publication Bowie Is (2012), featured on Sotheby's auction catalogues, used by the Recording Academy at the 2017 Grammy Awards, and continues to be used in the promotion of Lazarus, Bowie's final theatrical work, which premiered in New York in 2015.

All open edition prints measure 297 × 420 mm (11.7 × 16.5 in). Printed from the original master file on 308 gsm satin matte cotton rag, acid and lignin-free. Supplied unframed. Embossed with Gavin Evans' open edition stamp. No generative AI has been used in the creation of any image in this collection.
