David Bowie Fine Art Print #25 by Gavin Evans (1995)
Taken during The Session in 1995, this colour portrait shows David Bowie with his eyes closed and finger pressed to his lips in a powerful shushing pose. Unlike the more direct “Shh” portraits, this version carries an internal intensity — focused inward rather than outward — and offers a meditative, controlled image of Bowie rarely seen.
Set against a black background, this image builds on the visual language of The Session, which produced portraits used by Rolling Stone, Paris Match, Sotheby’s, The Grammys, V&A’s Bowie Is, and Lazarus the Musical.
Printed as an open edition A3 giclée on 308 gsm satin matte, acid-free, archival cotton paper, each print is embossed for authenticity and supplied unframed, ready for personal presentation and framing.
