How We Disclose Personal Information

In certain circumstances we may disclose your personal information to third parties for legitimate purposes subject to this Privacy Policy, including:

  • With Shopify, vendors and other third parties who perform services on our behalf (for example IT management, payment processing, data analytics, customer support, cloud storage, fulfilment and shipping).
  • With Revoq, the provider of our EU withdrawal function, which processes the name, order reference, email address, and related details you submit when you exercise your right of withdrawal, in order to record your request and send you confirmation of receipt. Revoq processes this data on our behalf as a processor and hosts it within the EU.
  • With business and marketing partners to provide marketing services and advertise to you. For example, we use Shopify to support personalised advertising with third-party services based on your online activity across different merchants and websites. These partners use your information in accordance with their own privacy notices. Depending on where you reside, you may have the right to direct us not to share information about you for targeted advertising.
  • When you direct, request, or otherwise consent to our disclosure of certain information to third parties, such as to ship you products or through your use of social media widgets or login integrations.
  • With our affiliates or otherwise within our corporate group.
  • In connection with a business transaction such as a merger or insolvency, to comply with applicable legal obligations, to enforce our terms or policies, and to protect or defend the Services and the rights of our users or others.

Relationship with Shopify

The Services are hosted by Shopify, which collects and processes personal information about your access to and use of the Services in order to provide and improve them. Information you submit to the Services will be transmitted to and shared with Shopify and third parties that may be located in countries other than where you reside. To help protect, grow, and improve our business, we use certain Shopify enhanced features that incorporate data obtained from your interactions with our store, other merchants, and Shopify. In these circumstances, Shopify is responsible for the processing of that personal information, including responding to your requests to exercise your rights. To learn more, see the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy at https://privacy.shopify.com/en.

Third Party Websites and Links

The Services may provide links to websites or online platforms operated by third parties. If you follow links to sites we do not control, you should review their privacy and security policies. We do not guarantee and are not responsible for the privacy or security of such sites, including the accuracy or reliability of information found on them. Our inclusion of such links does not imply endorsement.

Children's Data

The Services are not intended to be used by children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information about children under the age of majority in your jurisdiction. If you are the parent or guardian of a child who has provided us with their personal information, you may contact us using the details below to request that it be deleted. As of the effective date of this Privacy Policy, we do not have actual knowledge that we "share" or "sell" (as those terms are defined in applicable law) the personal information of individuals under 16 years of age.

Security and Retention of Your Information

No security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee "perfect security." Information you send to us may not be secure while in transit, and we recommend you do not use unsecure channels to communicate sensitive information to us.

How long we retain your personal information depends on factors such as whether we need it to maintain your account, provide the Services, comply with legal obligations (including statutory tax and commercial retention periods under German law), resolve disputes, or enforce our contracts and policies. When we no longer need your personal information, we delete or anonymise it in accordance with applicable law.

Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the rights below in relation to your personal information. These rights are not absolute, may apply only in certain circumstances, and in some cases we may decline a request as permitted by law.

  • Right to Access / Know. You may request access to the personal information we hold about you.
  • Right to Delete. You may request that we delete personal information we maintain about you.
  • Right to Correct. You may request that we correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Right of Portability. You may request a copy of your personal information and, in certain circumstances, ask us to transfer it to a third party.
  • Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing for Targeted Advertising. Depending on where you reside, you may opt out of the "sale" or "share" of your personal information, or of processing for "targeted advertising." If you visit our website with the Global Privacy Control signal enabled, we will, depending on where you are, treat this as an opt-out request for that device and browser. To learn more, visit https://globalprivacycontrol.org/. We do not recognise other "Do Not Track" signals.
  • Managing Communication Preferences. You may opt out of promotional emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails. If you opt out, we may still send non-promotional emails about your account or orders.

If you reside in the UK or European Economic Area, and subject to local-law exceptions, you also have the following rights:

  • Objection to Processing and Restriction of Processing. You may ask us to stop or restrict our processing of your personal information for certain purposes, including processing based on our legitimate interests.
  • Withdrawal of Consent. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

You may exercise these rights where indicated on the Services or by contacting us using the details below. To learn more about how Shopify processes your personal information and any related rights, visit https://privacy.shopify.com/en.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request. You may designate an authorised agent to make a request on your behalf, subject to proof of authorisation and identity verification. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

Complaints

If you have complaints about how we process your personal information, please contact us using the details below. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to appeal our decision or to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. As our establishment is in Berlin, the competent supervisory authority is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit). For the EEA, a list of supervisory authorities is available via the European Data Protection Board.

International Transfers

We may transfer, store and process your personal information outside the country you live in. If we transfer your personal information out of the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on recognised transfer mechanisms such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, or equivalent contracts issued by the relevant UK authority, unless the transfer is to a country determined to provide an adequate level of protection.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will post the revised Privacy Policy on this website, update the "Last updated" date, and provide notice where required by applicable law.
