Iggy Pop, photographed in New York, 1996 for Time Out magazine. This A2 lightbox fine art photography print by Gavin Evans is composed of six sequential colour studio portraits of Iggy Pop against a black background — styled by Judy Blame, the sequence documenting the act of removing a top covered in Band-Aids, frame by frame. The direct continuation of Lightbox #6, in which the same garment is worn — a reference to the self-inflicted injuries that marked his early performances with The Stooges. The complete body of work from this sitting was subsequently published in Biopic: Iggy Pop by Gavin Evans (Canongate Books, Edinburgh, 2003). Part of The Lightbox Series – The Bigger Picture.
