Terry Gilliam Lightbox by Gavin Evans, 1996
Photographed in 1996 for Time Out magazine, this A2 Lightbox print captures Terry Gilliam in a six-frame sequence shot inside his London kitchen. Clothed only in a reindeer fur coat, Gilliam is seen retrieving and drinking from a bottle of liquor — a raw, unscripted moment from one of cinema’s most imaginative figures.
Presented in colour, this Lightbox captures the director’s uninhibited energy and eccentric presence in a domestic setting. The sequence documents the spontaneous exchange between subject and photographer, emphasising the influence of direction and access.
Part of The Lightbox Series – The Bigger Picture, the six-image layout exposes the rhythm and narrative of the photographic session.
Printed as an A2 open edition giclée on archival, acid-free 308 gsm satin matte cotton rag paper, embossed with Gavin Evans’ Open Edition stamp. Supplied unframed, ready for personal presentation and framing.
