Rod Stewart Lightbox by Gavin Evans, 1995

Photographed in London, April 1995 for Time Out magazine, this A2 Lightbox print features a six-frame black and white studio portrait sequence of music legend Rod Stewart.

In these portraits, Stewart appears enigmatically cool in wraparound sunglasses. The sequence is composed and stylised. The familiar 'Rod the Mod' is stripped away by Evans raw approach.

This work is part of The Lightbox Series – The Bigger Picture, where six images from the same session are combined into one print, offering an extended view into the collaborative dynamic between subject and photographer.

Printed as an A2 open edition giclée on 308 gsm satin matte cotton rag paper, acid and lignin-free, and embossed with Gavin Evans’ Open Edition stamp. Supplied unframed, ready for personal presentation and framing.
