Iggy Pop #4 – A3 Fine Art Print by Gavin Evans

This graphic black and white studio portrait of Iggy Pop, photographed from behind, reveals the sinews, folds and sculptural contours of his bare back. Adorned with black feathers and set against a stark white background, the image strips Iggy down to flesh and bone.

Captured by Gavin Evans in 1996, this shot is part of the same explosive session that yielded covers for Time Out London and New York, and the Canongate-published biopic- iggy pop.

As the visceral heart of The Stooges, Iggy Pop turned his body into a site of rebellion. Here, even without his face, the portrait radiates energy and mythology.

Printed as an open edition A3 giclée on 308 gsm satin matte, acid-free, archival cotton paper, the print is embossed on the lower right corner for authenticity and supplied unframed, ready for personal presentation and framing.
