Iggy Pop #1 — A3 Fine Art Print by Gavin Evans, New York 1996
Iggy Pop, photographed in New York, 1996 for Time Out magazine. This fine art photography print by Gavin Evans features a black and white studio portrait of Iggy Pop against a white background — bare-chested, wearing black crow feathers, styled by Judy Blame, one finger raised. The image was used as the cover of Biopic: Iggy Pop by Gavin Evans (Canongate Books, Edinburgh, 2003), the book produced from the complete body of work of this 40-minute session, commissioned simultaneously for the covers of Time Out London and Time Out New York. Frontman of The Stooges, whose records Fun House (1970) and Raw Power (1973) established the template for punk, Iggy Pop remains one of the most physically and musically uncompromising performers in rock history.
