Ol' Dirty Bastard — A3 Fine Art Print by Gavin Evans, London 1997
Photographed in London, April 1997 for Time Out magazine. This fine art photography print by Gavin Evans presents a studio portrait of Ol' Dirty Bastard, born Russell Tyrone Jones — the most singular and unpredictable voice in Wu-Tang Clan, and one of hip-hop's most irreplaceable figures. His solo debut, Return to the 36 Chambers: The Dirty Version(1995), is among the most distinctive records the genre has produced. He died in November 2004, aged 35. This portrait was made during a group session with all six members in the year of Wu-Tang Forever (1997).
