Harvey Keitel — A3 Fine Art Print by Gavin Evans, Glasgow 1986
Harvey Keitel, photographed in Glasgow, 1986 for Cut magazine. One of the earliest works in the Gavin Evans archive, this fine art photography print presents a black and white studio portrait of Keitel — caught smoking, in a frame that is candid where studio portraits rarely are. Made before Reservoir Dogs (1992) and The Piano (1993) cemented his reputation, the image captures Keitel at a point when his cult status rested on Mean Streets (1973) and Taxi Driver (1976).
