David Bowie, photographed in London, July 1995 for Time Out magazine. This fine art photography print by Gavin Evans features a black and white studio portrait of Bowie from David Bowie — The Session — holding a drinks tray behind his head as a halo, a reference to St Peter at the gates of heaven, shot at the end of the session. The session was made with Brian Eno present and produced the shushing image that appeared on the covers of Rolling Stone, Paris Match, and Esquire, was selected by Bowie himself for the cover and final page of the V&A exhibition publication Bowie Is (2012), featured on the covers of Sotheby's prestigious auction catalogues, used by the Recording Academy at the 2017 Grammy Awards, and continues to be used in the promotion of Lazarus, Bowie's final theatrical work, which premiered in New York in 2015.
