Joe Strummer was a British musician, singer, and songwriter best known as the co-founder and frontman of punk rock band The Clash. Strummer helped shape the punk movement of the late 1970s with his politically charged lyrics and blend of punk with reggae and ska, producing hits like "London Calling" and "Rock the Casbah."
