UK Customers — ThePrintRoom.Berlin
Since the United Kingdom's departure from the European Union, goods shipped from the EU to the UK may be subject to import charges on arrival. This page explains what to expect when ordering from ThePrintRoom.Berlin.
What you will pay
Your print ships from Berlin. On arrival in the UK, the shipment may be subject to UK Value Added Tax (VAT) at 20%, collected by HMRC. As a general guide, goods valued under £135 are typically subject to UK VAT only, with no additional customs duty at this threshold; for orders above £135, customs duty and carrier handling fees may also apply. The exact treatment depends on the value and classification of the goods at the point of import.
Our shipping terms
ThePrintRoom.Berlin ships to the UK on a Delivered At Place (DAP) basis — also known as Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU). We arrange and charge for shipping (shown at checkout); all import charges on arrival — VAT, any customs duty, and carrier handling fees — are the responsibility of the buyer and are payable on delivery or collection.
These charges are set and collected by HMRC and the carrier, not by ThePrintRoom.Berlin, and we are unable to predict the exact amount in advance. We recommend reviewing the links below before placing your order.
